Our clients are typically mid-sized manufactures ($25 – 100 Million) located across the globe that are seeking to expand their facilities in the United States.
Flex-N-Gate is a global supplier of automotive assemblies, with over 26,000 employees worldwide. When evaluating potential locations to establish a new assembly operation to serve a key customer in Chicago, Carrie provided key assistance for over a year. From identification of all potential financial incentives in the State of Illinois through application and negotiation, the road was not always easy. Nonetheless, Carrie’s guidance and careful navigation of complex negotiations between several state and local agencies was integral in making our project financially feasible. We would not have our new operation in Illinois if not for Carrie’s assistance.

Carrie helped our business apply for EDGE Tax Credits and IDOT funding for new roads we needed paved for our building. She assisted us through the application process for our tax credits and connected the appropriate representatives to the city board to apply for our road funding. She played an integral part in walking us through struggles we had and assisted us in organizing and bringing all parties to the table to work on negotiations. Though the process wasn’t entirely smooth, Carrie made things much easier on us and worked hard to ensure all of our issues were ultimately resolved. She did a great job convening the government agencies to support our project and kept everyone on track to fulfill their part of the project.

We are an $80 million European Business designing, manufacturing and supplying Plastic storage solutions to retailers like Michael’s and Office depot with a warehousing facility in Illinois. When we set about finding our next facility we enlisted Carrie’s help in identifying suitable facilities. She was very focused on our exact requirements and came up with a list of potentially 10 suitable buildings. We ruled out half and visited the balance and from the initial selection we chose a 200,000 sq foot facility that we have already moved into. Our own searches had not identified the one we eventually got. Without Carrie’s help maybe we would have still been looking or worst still had to renew on our existing but now too small facility.

Carrie Zethmayr was an extraordinary resource for Taurus Die Casting, an Italian company, to start-up its first U.S. manufacturing operation (a $5M investment). She made our relationships with the city, the county and the State of Illinois easy. With her dynamism, she contributed to us securing the EDGE Tax Credit worth nearly $500,000, provided connections to regional services providers, including CPA and staffing services and helped with executive relocation, making it easier for us to establish new lives in the Untied States.
