ROCKFORD – Business growth strategist, Carrie Zethmayr, has launched a new firm with offices in Chicago and Rockford to help businesses, primarily manufacturers, expand into new markets. Zethmayr calls upon her ten years of experience in international business and economic development to help companies develop and execute strategies for selling to new markets. As companies expand sales, Zethmayr will also provide site selection and incentives negotiation services to ensure companies align their location strategy with their vision for long-term growth.

There, she negotiated over $120 Million in financial incentives for companies which collectively invested over $1 Billion in the State of Illinois, averaging over $5.4 Million in incentives per company ($45k per job committed).

With language capability in both Mandarin Chinese and French, Carrie also led international initiatives for the Rockford Area Economic Development Council from 2008 through 2015. This included administration of the region’s Foreign Trade Zone, export development consulting on behalf of the International Trade Center, and leading initiatives to attract Foreign Direct Investment from China and Western Europe that resulted in over $50 Million in new capital investment from foreign companies in the Rockford region.
